Applebys of Babcary, Somerset

This large line of Applebys from Babcary in Somerset is headed by Amos Appleby (~1762-1826) and his wife Margaret.

Though the marjority of their descendants remained in the area around Babcary, several families migrated to Lancashire and London. Trades included gardeners and seedsmen and one branch produced a number of printers compositors in the 1870s.

It is very likely that there are a number of descendants of this line alive today ... if you recognise the names of your grandparents, do please get in touch with any additional information or corrections.
