George & Margaret Appleby of Sunderland

A number of the men in this line were sea pilots in the busy ports of Sunderland and Seaham Harbour.

I have been able to trace descendants of this line through census entries right up as far as 1911, so it seems llikely that there are still living Applebys in this line. I would be delighted to hear from you with more information and/or corrections.

Some individuals disappear from later censuses, so it is possible that they may have emigrated.
