Name Index
The Master Name Index opens as a pdf file and includes the names of all individuals shown on the Family Trees included on this website to date. The list is sorted by surname (all Appleby variants are grouped together) and as well as known dates of birth and death shows the name of the Family Tree in which each individual appears.
The list currently includes 3663 individuals; the pdf is 52 pages long.
The name index is updated each time a new tree is added to this website.
Maps showing where your ancestors lived
Click here to view an interactive google map which will allow you to zoom right in to see where each family currently available on this website had their origins and also where some of their descendants ended up (this may take some time to load, but is worth waiting for!). If you don't have a broadband connection, you can also click on the maps above to view larger versions.
Index to Family Trees
If you would like your Appleby Family Tree included on this site, please use the Contact Form on the left to discuss the best format in which to submit your tree (GEDCOMs preferred!) I shall continue to reconstruct family trees for London Applebys from census and parish record data, and will add these as they are completed - however, if I have already included YOUR tree, I would welcome all your corrections and additions.
I am currently working on the following trees (some with the help of Appleby researchers who have contributed information) - if you have information on any of these trees, I would be grateful to hear from you!

I know that there must be many more Appleby lines in the South West of England and in the Midlands - as well as many more in London and Northumberland/Co Durham/ Yorkshire.
Please help to expand the coverage of the trees on this site by sending me details of YOUR Appleby line.
