Layer de la Haye is a small village to the south west of Colchester in Essex. You can read about its history here.
We have identified a number of Appleby lines that are strongly linked with Layer de la Haye and I am currently working on producing charts for each of them. A chart for the largest of these lines is already included on the website and I hope to add more over the next few weeks.
There is a strong possibility that several of the lines actually link together, so if you have any more information about any of the families listed below (or indeed any other Essex Applebys) do please use the contact form to get in touch with me.
